case study_
Wolves Wrestling
project overview
What started as a kids wrestling club in 2020 with 15 youth participating, the Wolves Wrestling team has grown to 53 youth from Kindergarten-8th grade. With that growth has come significant financial needs which are primarily funded through registration fees, hosting annual wrestling tournament, and an annual, local fundraising card campaign.
problem_
When the Wolves wrestling team considered their fundraising efforts for the year, they wanted to continue selling their popular, local coupon cards. However, they faced a few challenges:
- They received only 50% of the funds they actually raised.
- Several non-local businesses were used and others were left out.
- The original fundraising organization no longer wanted to coordinate their project.
solution _
Our Emerge team listened to their needs and created a fundraising promotion that facilitated local business participation and a successful fundraiser led by the wrestlers. The Emerge team designed the cards, facilitated print production, and assisted with student sales. The volunteer parent team and wrestlers sold out of the initial 600 cards purchased and kept 100% of the proceeds.
impact _
The result… a $10,500 profit for a 1-month campaign! Year 2: $11,000 profit and the program has continued for four consecutive years.
