Manning, Iowa, a progressive, western Iowa community with a population of 1,500, has recognized the power of effective branding since at least 2011 when they adopted a new identity and tagline, “Manning: It’s Refreshing!”. While the Manning Chamber, Main Street Manning organization, and the City of Manning all have talented volunteers and effective community leaders, there is often a need for continuity between all organizations to attract new visitors, retain residents, and support local businesses.

Emerge Marketing has provided a variety of support throughout the years, including performing a marketing strategy session and developing a marketing plan, implementing brand identity and messaging across numerous platforms, designing and writing copy for a homeowner’s promotional folder and resource packet, facilitating a ‘Manning Cares’ program during COVID to support local business owners, creating a series of visitor brochures and subsequent advertising campaigns, creating and implementing a ‘Stay & Play’ program, designing downtown banners, creating numerous promotional videos, designing and managing social media posts, facilitating a website RFP process, and hosting marketing workshops for business owners. Most recently, Emerge developed a digital marketing campaign that includes a bi-monthly e-newsletter and printed flyer, produced numerous Localhood reels, and coordinated many giveaways that supported local businesses.
