Indiana State University
project overview
To commemorate its 150th anniversary, Indiana State University, a distinguished land grant institution, embarked on a special project. Former university President Dr. Lloyd W. Benjamin III, also a former art history professor, envisioned a hardcover coffee table book celebrating the university’s rich history. With a focus on the impact of each president on the architecture and art advancements, he partnered with Emerge Marketing Solutions to bring this vision to life.
problem_
Despite Dr. Benjamin’s profound knowledge of art history and the university’s past, he faced a challenge in effectively conveying and generating excitement about it. With thousands of high-level word documents at hand, he struggled to articulate the richness of the University’s history in an easily understood and captivating manner.
solution _
Emerge tackled the challenge by implementing a strategic approach to compile and present the information in a way that engaged the reader. This involved creating a common framework for displaying the historical content and collaborating with various stakeholders, including the University archives, the Alumni Association, local newspapers, architects, contractors, and other entities, to gather historical and professional photos of each location.
impact _
Emerge made a significant impact by creating a 300-page hardcover book detailing the history of the University. Our team crafted captivating narratives and designed visually appealing layouts, ensuring that each page was informative and aesthetically pleasing. Furthermore, we included citations to uphold the accuracy and credibility of the content, resulting in a comprehensive and credible portrayal of the University’s rich heritage.
