Their full-service, primary care hospital offers an array of inpatient and outpatient health services designed to provide the personalized care patients need close to home. MRHC’s comprehensive total health care system includes state-of-the-art diagnostic radiology equipment, emergency department care, inpatient medical and surgical treatment, specialty clinics, family practice, inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment, skilled nursing services – and much more.

Overview

In 2017, MRHC approached Emerge to consider supporting the organization with a strategic marketing plan to guide the internal and external marketing efforts of the organization. Emerge first set out to understand the complexities of the organization, challenges that rural healthcare was facing, and devise a strategic marketing plan that could be facilitated on an ongoing basis. Emerge has since become the sole entity to oversee and implement the entirety of the internal and external marketing efforts. Every year, we create an annual marketing plan for MRHC and implement a variety of internal and external marketing tactics throughout the year. We meet on a monthly basis to plan all marketing initiatives for the next month. Additionally, we have facilitated unique projects including: a capital fundraising campaign, Thrive in careers campaign, Women Supporting Women initiatives, 5210 healthy initiatives campaigns, Healthcare Career Camps, and the development of a new website. Most notably, Emerge served as the PIO during the 2020 COVID response.

Emerge has been instrumental in elevating MRHC’s digital presence over the years. By consistently creating engaging content and managing social media platforms, we have significantly increased audience reach and engagement. With an average of 35 posts per month, our team plans content in alignment with the overall marketing strategy. We take ownership of the entire content creation process, from capturing photos and conducting interviews to researching relevant topics. Additionally, we have successfully managed MRHC’s CTV, OTT, and digital advertising campaigns, optimizing budgets and maximizing ROI.

Website

In 2021, Emerge redesigned and developed a new website for MRHC, prioritizing user experience and comprehensive information. The new website highlights all MRHC services and providers, incorporates a dynamic event plugin and calendar, and features a user-friendly donation form and blog/news portal. This enhanced online visibility and brand image while ensuring a seamless experience for mobile users through a fully responsive design.

Thrive Campaign

To showcase the diverse career opportunities at MRHC and highlight the dedication of its employees, Emerge developed the “Thrive Close to Home” campaign. This integrated campaign features employee stories through press releases, website listings, radio ads, social media posts, and print advertisements, promoting job openings and inspiring future healthcare professionals.

Newsletters

Emerge produces a triannual newsletter that reaches approximately 3,500 households and businesses within the service area. This publication features a diverse range of content, including patient testimonials, personal interest stories, health education tips, highlights from the Thrive in Close to Home campaign, and information about new services. The newsletter serves as a valuable communication tool, keeping the community informed and engaged with MRHC.

Video Production

Emerge has been instrumental in elevating MRHC’s visual storytelling through video production. We have created a variety of videos, including provider introductions, department spotlights, patient testimonials, and engaging commercials for connected TV and local streaming services. Emerge has also produced fun and creative videos that celebrate holidays and highlight the organization’s unique culture. These videos have enhanced MRHC’s online presence, improved patient engagement, and strengthened the organization’s brand identity.

Print Materials

Emerge has been a key partner in developing a wide range of print materials that effectively communicate MRHC’s services and commitment to patient care. From educational booklets for post-surgery patients to department service flyers, emergency contact cards, hospital brochures, departmental brochures, and promotional materials for special events, Emerge has created visually appealing and informative print pieces. These materials not only enhance the patient experience but also strengthen MRHC’s brand identity and community engagement.

Healthcare Career Camp

Emerge collaborated with MRHC to create a comprehensive marketing and branding strategy for their Health Care Career Camp. This initiative aims to inspire young students to pursue careers in healthcare. Emerge assisted in developing the camp’s identity, crafting compelling promotional materials, taking photos and videos to showcase the impact, and writing grant applications to secure funding. The camp itself offers a one-day, immersive experience where students engage in hands-on activities and learn about various healthcare professions. To further enhance the camp’s impact, Emerge created a print piece that summarizes the day’s experiences and encourages students to explore future opportunities in healthcare.

Capital Campaign

Emerge played a significant role in the success of Manning Regional Healthcare Center’s Project Forward campaign in 2021. This initiative aimed to raise money for a major expansion and renovation project. Emerge provided strategic consulting, developed comprehensive promotional materials, and guided a dedicated volunteer campaign team. We also implemented a strategic communications plan to keep the community informed and engaged throughout the campaign. Through these efforts, Emerge helped MRHC achieve its fundraising goals and successfully execute the expansion project. The campaign was a resounding success in renovating and expanding the Senior Life Solutions and pharmacy departments of the facility.
