Shortly after Emerge first started in 2016, we had the pleasure of holding our first official marketing discovery session with the new owners of The Oakwood Inn in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Their passion for revitalizing this iconic gem in the Iowa lakes region was enough to make us want to visit weekly! As with many small businesses, they had a tight marketing budget considering the many investments they wanted to make in the property, in addition to their marketing efforts. So we looked at a 1-, 3-, and 5-year plan and knew that if we created a solid identity and executed well, they would be able to achieve their goals over time. Fast forward to today, and we are excited to see how Bill & Bridget’s vision has blossomed. We have been fortunate to be part of developing their brand identity; designing print materials, signage, and advertisements; recommending strategy for their website and digital marketing efforts; and creating event promotions. We conducted a Facebook giveaway that reached over 100k people within a few hours, our first experience of ‘going viral.’ If you’re looking for an adults-only getaway to reconnect, relax, and refresh, this is your go-to place! And the breakfast will definitely not disappoint!
